Woke up this morning with sunlight streaming in my window and thought,
Today I am going to write Me.
So I have begun the intense task of writing my life into a small computer that fits in my lap, using a word processing program and my diaries from my (few) years of life.
Crazy, I must be insane.
But it's enlivening. I could not decide where to begin so I began everywhere--today, yesterday, five years ago, past generations. We'll see how it goes.
I'm coming to Santa Barbara this next weekend to don the black robe and march the funeral procession as we mourn the official death of College and are granted new life, a second birth, into the world.
A life I've already been living for a semester, now. Surreal. But my parents want the photographs of me in funeral attire.
With me this weekend, Zak makes the journey to the nostalgic beach town.
Ah, remember a year ago? I'll say, and he'll nod, smile, press the familiar memories of our Beginning.
By the way, he's going to Africa in July. Ask him about it.
And I'm packing my bags for the green Island, the Ireland, the home of my heritage and the root of my tomorrows.
Who are the Irish? Mythmakers, Poets,
Storytellers, All.

I hope to be there to see you and your class walk the walk. And two days later, I will be on a plane headed for similar territory.
Here's the rundown of my itinerary:
May 12-14: with Ruth in Oxford
May 14-June 30: Corrymeela
July 1-4: Dublin
July 4-14: with Ruth in Oxford/visiting London
When/where are you?
I am also quite determined to see Arcadia in July. I'm super stoked about it because I love love LOVE that play.
Ooooo jealous I'll be gone by then. I'll post my Itinerary on your facebook so I can make sure you get it but for now, the date we're in Ballycastle/Northern Ireland is somewhere around June 14/15. We're going to the Giant's Causeway (which is about twenty minutes from you). You should come :) I'm hoping to do the causeway in the morning and then have lunch in the Ballycastle area before we have to head to Belfast.
I know it's hard to know where you'll be on that day (I think the actual date is the 15th of June). But if you can you shuold COME WITH US. Or else we'll just have lunch with you ;-)
Love
I'm putting you in my iCal so I will keep it in mind. I have a feeling that since it's after the weekend, I could go because we're likely to have weekend visitors. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to come with you to Giant's Causeway. I visited on a day when I was uber depressed on Eng Sem, so I've always wanted to go back and make new memories. And it's just gorgeous there :D
I would purchase a copy of your life if I saw it sitting in a book store :-). I'd probably skip ahead and start reading at the "5 years ago" part haha. Miss you!

Aw Steven. Don't worry you'll def make it in there :) You'll be the blue eyed boy who gave me the scar on my ankle when we tried to climb the water tower to see the edge of the world.
Miss you too, kid ;)
And I? Who do I get to be?
Wait and see, Love. You'll be the One who was never One but All--Always--and the river rocks beneath the current, and the dream that rests on the wake of a breath and the tune of The Song that thrums Melody between the greeting and the embrace. You are the eyes that finally Meet, and See, and the Soul that keeps beneath the heart in my ageless Story. You are the only chapter without end:
a Purpose for Pen to greet paper and the Whisper of a Friend. The Image of the Maker and the energy of Creation.
you are
my Reason.
I am speechless.
In awe.
Marvelously Loved.
And -in- the Same.
