Rude awakenings

This morning I woke up, inhaled, and realized I couldn't breathe.

After a moment's panic, I realized my mouth was closed and my nose was occupied by a severe reaction to the cat, who had decided to nestle beneath my pillow.

I scooped her under her white belly and tossed her to the floor, swung myself out of bed, and scrambled around looking for some sort of anti-allergy drug. I found Airborne. Insufficient but I thought I could trick myself into believing it was useful.

It was NOT.

Now my allergies just taste like citrus.

On the agenda for the day: Baby Mama with my little sister, and a bookstore with Johnathan Hayward! BOOKS. I might jump outta my skin.

I'm going to spend the next few hours perusing my book of Irish castles and pretending I am a princess stuck in a tower.

Oh no...are you allergic to cats as well? My mom is too. It really sucks.

I have my own allergies, but they're typically seasonal, and triggered by stuff in the air.

And yes...BOOKS! I can't wait.

I am also allergic to cats. However, I was not for the first 17 years of my life.

My mom has two cats. I have to use a nasal spray about every day or every other day. It sucks. When I leave the house, I have to close my door to make sure they don't come in and contaminate my bedding or clothing.

I have two cats. We cuddle.

I'm slightly masochistic.
